Time flies when you’re procrastinating. It’s been a year since Drifting in a Dream was published and I naively hoped to publish the second book on the same date this year. That hasn’t worked out due to several reasons severe procrastination. Seriously, I do need to crack on with writing. I am at least hoping to have most of the book written by Christmas if that makes anyone feel better. If all else fails NaNoWriMo is in November and that might give me the push needed.
Back to Drifting in a Dream. It’s been a year of experimentation in marketing with some success and a lot of failure trial and error. You might recall my last blog post, A Ballad of Book Covers, where I unveiled a redesigned book cover. Like all good ballads, there’s another verse. The more I looked at it the less certain I was, so there’s been another (hopefully final) redesign which you can check out below. Please let me know which is your favourite, I’d love to find out!
As well as a new cover, Drifting in a Dream has gone through another change. I’ve decided to pull the book from Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Google Play Books and Kobo. The books had been on those sites for months with little to no interest, so it’s available exclusively on Amazon again. This comes with the bonus of it being available on Kindle Unlimited, so it’s not all doom and gloom!
I’ll leave this update here for now, and hopefully, the next update will be about Power Wielders 2. In the meantime, please check out the new cover and if you’ve read Drifting in a Dream and you liked it, share the love and consider reviewing!
